He proudly stated that PSG Tech has produced the highest number of entrepreneurs in the world, who have made significant contributions to society.”
He mentioned that an alma mater has two bonds: an emotional bond and a professional bond. After noting this, he explained that, being an emotional bond, our alma mater is like a grandmother’s home. In terms of professional bonding, alumni share their knowledge with the alma mater.
Through alumni, we gain networking opportunities, and he emphasized that networking is essential for success in life. This networking is provided by the PSG Tech Alumni Association through its vast global network. He added that networking not only enhances professional life but also improves personal life through friendships. He urged the students to embrace this bond and be nurtured by it.
Another important aspect to take from the alma mater is values. He highlighted three values by expanding the acronym ‘PSG.’ He noted that ‘P’ in PSG stands for philanthropy, a value many alumni possess, and he urged the students to adopt this value.
‘S’ stands for sincerity, and he advised the students that when they approach even the smallest tasks with sincerity and dedication, they will succeed in life. ‘G’ stands for gratitude, a great value that everyone should practice. He emphasized that gratitude should be extended to everyone, as it will uplift one’s life.
Moreover, he pointed out that due to India’s demographic advantage, there are immense opportunities. With the above values and the opportunities available, students have successful careers.
He also mentioned four key areas that budding professionals and entrepreneurs should be aware of: mobility, biomedical engineering (which is seeing significant investment and potential), advanced material sciences, and data sciences.
Finally, Radhakrishnan emphasized to the students the importance of contributing to the alma mater and feeling proud of it.”
