The Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF), Southern Region and Coimbatore Chapter, jointly organised the Foundry Conclave 2025 on 1st November 2025 at Hotel Le Meridien, Coimbatore.
The conclave brought together 330 participants, including foundry professionals, industry leaders, technologists, and entrepreneurs from across the region.

The Chief Guest, Thirumalai, Senior Vice President, Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE), inaugurated the conclave by lighting the lamp along with the dignitaries of IIF, including Sushil Sharma, National President; Palanimurugan, Chairman, Southern Region; Veluswami, Chairman, Coimbatore Chapter; Muthukumar, National Treasurer; and other distinguished guests.
Veluswami welcomed the gathering, while Ganeshkumar, Organising Committee Chairman and Managing Director of Indoshell Cast, presented an overview of the conclave. Sushil Sharma delivered the special address, and Palanimurugan introduced the Chief Guest.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Thirumalai, shared his perspectives on innovation and sustainability in foundry operations, emphasising the importance of adapting to new technologies for long-term growth.
At the conclave, a special debate was held on the topic “For Sustainability – AI Tech or People Abilities,” which engaged the audience with lively insights from industry experts.
The vote of thanks for the inaugural session was delivered by Ramesh Babu, Hon. Secretary, IIF Southern Region, while the overall event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prabhu Dharmarajan, Hon. Secretary, IIF Coimbatore Chapter.

The conclave highlighted the twin pillars of sustainability and artificial intelligence as the driving forces for the next phase of growth and competitiveness in the Indian foundry industry.
