GRG Institutions celebrated Founder’s Day on 21 January 2026 at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women.
Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Forests, Government of Tamil Nadu, was the event president and delivered the felicitation address.
Devarajan Chinnusamy, Managing Director, URC Construction, Erode, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the GRG Memorial Lecture.
G. Rangaswamy, Managing Trustee, GRG Trust, presided over the function and delivered the welcome address, while Nandini Rangaswamy, Founder Trustee, GRG Trust, read out the citations of the awardees.

During the event, Gowri Kailasam, CEO, Rane (Madras) Limited, received the Chandrakanthi Catalyst Leader Award in recognition of her exemplary leadership and transformative contributions to industry and society. Murugavel Janakiraman, Founder and CEO of Matrimony.com (BharatMatrimony), was conferred the GRG Trailblazer Award for his pioneering role in India’s digital and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In addition, three distinguished alumnae of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women were honoured as KCW Brand Ambassadors.
They were Rama Meenakshi (1990 batch), Senior Credit Approver at Hero Fincorp; Leena Antonette Maria (1992 batch), Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Government of India; and Bhuvaneshwari Murali (1995 batch), Vice President – Commercial Rating, Underwriting, and Risk Management, American Express, USA.
Their journeys stand as inspiring exemplars of leadership and service, reflecting the institution’s enduring legacy of empowering women to excel globally.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of the Chandrakanthi Fellowship Programme for Women Leadership, an initiative aimed at nurturing future women leaders through structured mentorship and leadership development.
The programme underscores GRG Trust’s long-standing commitment to women’s empowerment and inclusive leadership.
The program was launched by Supriya Sahu and Shankar Vanavarayar, President of Kumaraguru Institutions, along with other dignitaries.
Heads of institutions, faculty members, and students attended the celebration.
The annual Founders’ Day is a significant occasion that honours the enduring legacy of the founders of GRG Trust, while reaffirming its commitment to education, leadership, and social transformation.
The event ended with a Vote of Thanks by Balasubramanian, Advisor, GRG/KCW.
