Green Park Career Academy, a highly reputed coaching centre for NEET, AIIMS, and JIPMER shifted its Coimbatore centre to a new location at Hopes College on Avinashi Road. The centre was previously functioning at a premises opposite to PSG Tech.

Dr. Palanivelu, Chairman of GEM Hospitals and GEM Cancer Centre inaugurated the new facility at Hopes in the presence of Sharavanan, Chairman, Green Park Career Academy, Sutha Sharavanan, Director, Green Park Educational Institutions, Guruvayurappan & Naveen Surya, the directors.

2090 students joined MBBS in 2025

Sharavanan, while speaking to The Covai Mail, said the new academy will begin functioning from today.

“We started the academy for NEET coaching in 2019 in Coimbatore. Every year, around 40% of our students secure MBBS seats,” he said.

Apart from Coimbatore, the NEET coaching centre also operates in Chennai, Erode, Karur and Namakkal under the name Green Park Coaching Centre. In Coimbatore, coaching has been provided under the name Green Park Career Academy for the past six years, and this year marks its seventh year of operation. The academy has now begun functioning from a new premises.

He further said that in 2025, about 2,090 students secured government quota MBBS seats.

“In the coming days, with improved facilities and technology at Green Park Career Academy, we aim to provide better coaching and help more NEET aspirants secure MBBS seats,” he added.

He said the Chief Guest, Dr. Palanivelu, was an ideal choice to inaugurate the new premises as he had set a strong precedent demonstrating the close link between hard work and progress.

Sharavanan attributed the growth of the institution to the support of parents, faculty, well-wishers and, most importantly, the students.

Dr. Palanivelu, in his address, stated that despite the ongoing debate on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the success of students in gaining admission to medical programmes under the government quota had been phenomenal.

To students, he said, they should make the best use of the opportunities provided through government support.

He also observed that technological interventions in the teaching–learning process had strengthened education.

In his address, he also said that the happiness of patients is unparalleled, while highlighting the importance of pursuing a career in medicine.

He expressed gratitude to his well-wishers who had supported his medical education during difficult times when he studied in a village school, and said that assistance would also be extended to students through the GEM Foundation.

He further said that Green Park Educational Institutions, by spearheading educational development, has helped transform the perception of Namakkal, which has traditionally been known as a hub for logistics and poultry farming.
