G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital (GKNMH) has been awarded as the Best Cancer Care Hospital in Kongu Region (adult & paediatric) by News 18 Tamil.

The award was presented by Ma. Subramanian, Minister for Medical and Public Health, Tamil Nadu at the award ceremony hosted by News18 named News18 Tamil Nadu – Maruthuva Viruthugal 2024 held recently in Chennai.

Dr. Sivanesan, Chairman, Department of Oncology and Dr. Santhosh, Medical Director Operations at the hospital received the award on behalf of the hospital.

Since the establishment in 1958, GKNMH has been a pioneer in cancer care in the Kongu region. The hospital started the Valavadi Narayanasamy Cancer Centre and has since served over 2.5 lakh patients, from children to adults.
