The KMCH College of Nursing, Coimbatore, is organising a four-day workshop on OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) and OSPE (Objective Structured Practical Examination) for faculty from the School of Nursing in Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and the Nilgiris District from August 18 to 21, 2025.

The inaugural ceremony was held on August 18, 2025, at KMCH College of Nursing. The workshop aims to provide valuable insights, hands-on training and collaborative learning experiences to strengthen academic and clinical teaching practices.

A total of 86 delegates from various schools of nursing have registered for the program.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Madhavi, Principal of the college, who extended her greetings to the dignitaries, faculty members, and delegates.

The highlight of the ceremony was the gracious presence of Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Joint Managing Director, KMCH, Coimbatore, who presided over the function and formally inaugurated the workshop.

In her inaugural address, Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami underscored the significance of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination and the Objective Structured Practical Examination in nursing education.

She emphasised that structured assessments not only enhance objectivity in evaluation but also improve clinical competencies and uphold high standards in nursing practice and education.

She stressed the importance of need for improving the psychological well-being and self-esteem of students, and also that faculty members need to update their knowledge with the latest technology.

Following her address, the workshop was officially declared open. The organising team expressed sincere gratitude to the management, dignitaries, and participants for their encouragement and active involvement.

The inauguration concluded with a vote of thanks.
