Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu

Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, in his address, said that 20 years ago, the trade barriers came down and pockets of excellence were created in certain zones. He said this marked a shift in economies, where manufacturers began coming to India, setting up brands, and retaining their retail operations, especially in textiles.

He also said that, in the global tensions, much collateral will be damaged, and he assured that no one cares about the losses, but we, the leaders who have the responsibility for people, are responsible for the whole supply chain and ecosystem, and it has to be addressed.

And he said, today we have honoured those two who addressed the challenges, whose raw materials and markets are under challenge.

Further, he said that in business, we have to learn through case studies. This case study was demonstrated by the two people honoured today, whose resilience helped them face challenges.

He went on to say that challenges will continue to stay with us. Textiles in India is a very peculiar business; it runs on trust, partnership, shared values, and centres of excellence. These centres of excellence were created over the years through the grit and hardships of entrepreneurs, and they have to be re-examined under today’s circumstances.

He also noted that entrepreneurs today must face the challenges in business or go out of it in the current global environment.

He then said that we are in the safe hands of the leadership in Delhi. He mentioned that while India’s non-alignment policy is appreciated, it also presents challenges. He added that the best minds are working on it to make our economy more resilient and developed.

He also shared that the founding spirit of LMW was built on helping the Indian spinning industry. He said they will continue to focus on taking care of all customers in India first and then look beyond.

He assured customers that the LMW team is looking ahead to where they need to go, and he promised, “We will give you everything we have in the coming years and decades, keeping our pulse on changing markets, changing customer trends, and the challenges you face.

We are studying all your needs, and we dedicate the next 10 years to working closely with you and making our country very strong in the textile industry.”
