Multi-disciplinary, Socio-Economic and Environmental Research centre namely “CDER-Centre for Development and Environmental Research” has been established in Coimbatore recently.
The formal inauguration of the research centre will be held on 30th November 2024 at PSG College of Arts and Science, coimbatore.
On this occasion, a conclave on Indian Economy has also been proposed by inviting Academicians, Researchers, Corporate heads and Service Organization to deliver a special talk. Research Scholars, Students, faculty members and others are invited to participate in the event.
The Research Centre namely CDER is a unit of Green India Trust founded by Dr. R.K. Govindarajan, Former Professor and Head, Department of Economics, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and he is also the Director of CDER.
Scholarly Academicians from Premier National-Level Institutions have associated with CDER as Advisors and Visiting Professors.
The major objective of the centre is to undertake socio-economic, agro-rural and environmental research work, surveys, data analysis, report preparation and also to assist the government departments in similar areas.
In addition to this, it is aimed to conduct short-term courses, training programmes on skill development, faculty development etc, on the specified areas and needs including awareness programmes.
CDER has signed MOU with leading academic and research institutions to collaborate with the CDER programmes and activities.
