The Department of Information Technology, NGP Institute of Technology, recently organised a Two-day DRDO-sponsored National Level Seminar on AI & Blockchain: Shaping the Future of Secure Intelligent Systems.
Krishnamoorthi, Professor and Head of the Department delivered the welcome address. Prabha, Principal of the college offered a felicitation address and emphasised the critical role of emerging technologies in addressing global challenges.
The seminar was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dinesh Paranthagan, Founder & CEO of Hackup Technology Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore. In his keynote address, Dinesh highlighted the Introduction to AI and Blockchain: Opportunities and Challenges and provided insights on Leveraging AI for Blockchain Performance and Efficiency.
Over 100 external and internal participants, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars and faculty members from various academic institutions across Tamil Nadu attended the seminar.
The event offered participants valuable exposure to advanced topics and hands-on experiences in cutting-edge technologies.
The remaining sessions were led by renowned speakers including, Sivaraman Eswaran, Senior Lecturer, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Curtin University, Malaysia; Prabhakaran, Founder & Project Lead, Visaithalam Solutions, Coimbatore and Sudharson, Associate Professor, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore.
The seminar served as an excellent platform for participants to engage, learn and collaborate on pioneering advancements in AI and Blockchain technologies, noted the department and college.
