Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS), A Stand-alone B-School recently organized the Young Entrepreneurship Conclave (Ye-Con ’24), a platform designed to inspire and educate aspiring entrepreneurs.

The conclave commenced with a presidential address by Valarmathi, Director of VIMS, who emphasized the importance of understanding challenges faced by entrepreneurs, firm sustainability, and the availability of venture capital consultants and incubation centres.

Renowned entrepreneurs, including Prabhu Rangasamy, Prolocutor, Atomica Biosciences; Vinothkumar Paul Manoharan, Founder, Shasha Inc; Gowtham Dhamotharasamy, Founder, Fincliniq; Athiban Sankar, Founder, Cakes by Chocolates and Srinath Mani, Director, Techath Labs Pvt. Ltd shared their experiences and offered valuable insights on entrepreneurship.

The speakers stressed the importance of conducting thorough research and planning, setting clear goals and focus, identifying market affordability, learning from failures, choosing the right domain and Building a strong team.

In the following Panel discussion, students were engaged with the speakers on strategies, challenges, and opportunities in entrepreneurship.

In the afternoon session, seven teams presented their business proposals, with Naveen Krishna, Founder, Startup Payanam providing feedback and guidance.

The event culminated with the announcement of funding opportunities for two selected best business plans: Vegan Meat and Pure Wind Technologies by startup entrepreneurs.
