The two-day Round 2 of the JK Tyre Racing Season 2025 was held recently at the Kari Motor Speedway, featuring drivers from across the country.
Coimbatore’s Jai Prashanth Venkat secured victory in the final race of the Levitas Cup, a new addition to this year’s racing calendar. He completed 10 laps of the 2.3 km circuit in 14:38.492.
In another highlight, Nihal Singh from Gurugram, a Class 10 student, showed potential in his transition from karting to circuit racing, despite mechanical issues.
Jai Prashanth engaged in a close contest with guest driver Mira Erda in the fourth race. Mira secured podium finishes in all four races. “This car is new but well-equipped for safety, including a roll cage,” she said.
The single-make Levitas Cup races showcased the performance of the car and offered a platform for upcoming drivers. Jai Prashanth recorded his fastest lap at 1:26.100 in the fourth race.

On the second day, Navaneeth Kumar and Anish D Shetty competed closely in the third race. Navaneeth won by a margin of 0.002 seconds, clocking 13:21.934. Anish recorded a best lap of 1:16.898.
The bike races, under the ‘Street to Circuit’ theme, aimed to identify new talent. First-time circuit racer Johring Warisa from Assam participated alongside experienced riders, showing progress through the event.
The JK Tyre Novice Cup featured three races. Bhuvan Bonu of MSPORT won Race 1 (16:06.951) and Race 3 (16:26.624). Abhijit Vadavalli of Momentum Motorsports won Race 2 with a time of 14:23.860. Vinith Kumar and Lokithlingeash Ravi also secured podium finishes.
The Novice Cup continues to serve as a platform for developing young drivers and promoting grassroots motorsport in India.
