Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin handed over a grant of ₹14.43 crore to the Southern India Engineering Manufacturers’ Association (SIEMA) and laid the foundation stone for establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Advanced Pumps and Motors in Coimbatore district.

The grant was presented to the heads of the association during the TN Rising Investors’ Meeting held at Hotel Le Méridien on 25th November 2025.

The upcoming Centre comes at a time when the city is entering its centenary year in manufacturing pumpsets. This initiative will help Coimbatore be at the forefront of achieving the vision of a $1 trillion economy for Tamil Nadu and is expected to generate 500 jobs.
