On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, the Income Tax Department, Coimbatore, recently celebrated the event in a grand manner.
Arun Bharat, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Coimbatore, hoisted the national flag. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Diwakar Prasad, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Coimbatore.
Ramani, Founder and Managing Trustee of Sankara Eye Foundation, and R. Sundar, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, were the guests of honour. The presidential address was delivered by Arun Bharat.
Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to Non-Corporate Range–1, Coimbatore, for securing first prize, and to the Erode Range for second prize, in recognition of their efforts in housekeeping and cleanliness drives, specifically, the weeding out of old records and equipment.
