The Fluid Power Society of India (FPSI) organized the Fluid Power Challenge 2025 on October 10, 2025 at The Capitol Hotel, Bangalore.
The event featured two major competitions, the National Level Quiz and the MSY Design Challenge, conducted in offline mode.
In the National Level Quiz, a total of 10 teams from Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) participated in the first round. Out of these, three teams were shortlisted for the second round, and two teams advanced to the final round.
CIT achieved a remarkable milestone by securing both the Winner and Runner-up positions at the national level.
The First Prize (₹50,000) was awarded to Eswaranayagam and Manisankar, mentored by Sam Solomon. The Second Prize (₹25,000) was won by Suhin and Vinesh, under the mentorship of Sureshkannan.
In the MSY Design Challenge, 8 teams from CIT participated in the first round, and one team qualified for the finals.
The team comprising Shreeya and Aishwarya (III Year) performed commendably under the mentorship of Karthikeyan.
This outstanding performance brought pride to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CIT.
