Commemorating World Polio Day, the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Kovaipudur organised a Polio Eradication awareness car rally, recently.
The rally was flagged off by Vetriselvan, Deputy Mayor, Coimbatore Corporation. Rtn Padmakumar, District Coordinator for Polio Awareness (also called as Polio Man) was the guest of honour.
In the event, Rtn Subramanian, Assistant Governor and Rtn Ganesan Governor Group Representative remembered the evil effects of polio and stressed the need for unrelenting efforts to eradicate polio.
All the members of the Club participated in the rally and promoted the message of polio eradication among the public.
