“The Union Budget 2026 reflects a strong commitment to manufacturing-led growth,” said Veluswami, Chairman, Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF), Coimbatore Chapter, commenting on the Union Budget presented recently.
He said initiatives such as the SME Growth Fund, record infrastructure capital expenditure, the CCUS scheme for green steel and carbon capture, the Container Manufacturing Scheme and the Rare Earth Corridor will provide a major boost to the casting sector. “We welcome the government’s forward-looking approach,” he added.
