PSG College of Arts & Science (PSG CAS) is known for its sports excellence, and August 2026 saw the institution’s students and teams bring home back to back honors from state-level, South-India level, Asian level and International level sport events.
The Men’s Basketball Team of the college emerged as the champions of the 1st State Level Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament for Delta Trophy, held in Kumbakonam.
Its men’s volleyball team emerged as the runners-Up in the South India Level Inter Collegiate Volleyball Tournament, held as part of the 92nd Rev. Fr. Bertram Memorial Tournament, hosted by Loyola College, Chennai.
The College’s 2nd year Sociology student Nitheshkumar clinched the Silver Medal in the 5th India Taekwondo National Championships for 2026–27, held at Pune, Maharashtra, while 1st year B.Com student V.S. Nandish won the Bronze Medal in the Open Blitz category at the Asian Junior Chess Championship 2026 held in Mumbai.
1st year B.COM CS student Shree Dhanya who competed in the 9th Heroes Taekwondo (Kyorugi) International Championship 2026 held at the Eastern National Sports Training Centre, Pattaya, Thailand, secured the Silver Medal.
