The Avila Institution team secured first place in the Southern Zone Level School Band Competitions conducted by the Government of India and the Government of Telangana under the Samagra Shiksha programme. The competition was held in Telangana recently.
With this achievement, Avila Institution has earned the honour of performing at the national-level celebrations in New Delhi in January 2026.
The band competition was organised by the Agricultural University and featured participation from students representing nine southern states and Union Territories. Schools from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands took part in the event.
Demonstrating exceptional discipline, musical excellence, and unity, the Avila School Brass Band delivered a powerful and memorable performance that stood out among competing schools across the South Zone. The achievement reflects the students’ perseverance, teamwork, and the dedicated guidance of their mentors.
