Rathinam College of Arts and Science recently organised the Swearing-in Ceremony for its newly elected Student Council and Advisory Council Members.

The event underscored the institution’s unwavering commitment to cultivating student leadership while fostering an environment conducive to both academic and extracurricular distinction.

Balasubramanian, Principal delivered an insightful address and welcomed the Chief Guest, Muthu Kumar, Sub-Inspector of Police, Sundarapuram.

The Presidential Address was delivered by Manickam, CEO & Secretary of Rathinam Group of Institutions, who urged students to approach their roles with a deep sense of responsibility, sincerity, and dedication.

Council Members

The Student Council is structured with a total of 48 members including 1 President, 2 Vice Presidents, 13 Ministers, 12 Deputy Ministers, and 14 Members.

The President leads the council, while the Vice Presidents assist in various leadership roles. There are 13 Ministers responsible for specific areas such as Health and Hygiene, Discipline, External Affairs, Sports, Communication, Cultural Affairs, Education, Internal Affairs, Finance, and Media & Entertainment.

The 12 Deputy Ministers support the Ministers in their respective duties. Additionally, 14 Members of the Student Council contribute to various activities and represent their peers in different capacities.

Muthu Kumar, lauded Rathinam College’s progressive approach, stating that the institution has unveiled a transformative model for student leadership. Inspired by the cultural diversity and unity emblematic of “Little India.”

The Council’s structure is meticulously designed, with roles such as President, Vice President, Minister, and Deputy Minister representing various academic departments, ensuring broad representation across the institution.
