Maanavar Illam is one of the noble initiatives launched by PSG & Sons’ Charities. It was established in 1995 under the dynamic leadership of G.R. Karthikeyan, the then Managing Trustee of the Trust.
It provides free boarding and lodging facilities to children who have a single parent or no parents, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, etc., and hail from economically weaker sections of the society. The students are admitted to different standards in PSG Sarvajana School, and empower them to continue their education without hurdles, even up to their doctorate degree.
It is a joyful home to nearly 250 students currently from diverse backgrounds and offers them a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment to live, learn, and grow as a community. To make this Diwali, a memorable one for them, PSG & Sons’ Charities organized a celebration at PSG IM campus, on Thursday.
L.Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG & Sons’ Charities presided over the celebration and gave away the gifts, clothes and sweets to the residents of Maanavar Illam, and also celebrated the moment with them.
