The KMCH City Center at Ram Nagar, one of the peripheral centers of KMCH, celebrated its 34th Anniversary on Friday at the KMCH on Avinashi Road.
The day also marked the 33rd Anniversary of Senior Citizens’ Health Club. The Club was formed by KMCH in 1993. The Club, having more than 400 members, aged between the 60s and mid-90s, meets once a year, and it has a dedicated desk in the hospital and a WhatsApp group.
The facility at Ram Nagar City Center includes 24-hour cardiac & General consultation, specialist consultation, and master health check-up, cath lab, TMT, ultrasound, X-ray, ECG, dialysis, and all laboratory services.
Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman & Managing Director, KMCH, presided over the function. Thangadurai, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Zone, Coimbatore City, participated as the chief guest and delivered a keynote address on cyber security to raise awareness among senior citizens.
Dr. Srinidhi Nithyanand – Consultant Psychiatrist, KMCH, Interacted with senior citizens about challenges in day-to-day physical and mental health.
Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami welcomed the gathering. Hariharan, Organiser, Senior Citizens Health Club, submitted the annual report on Senior Citizens Health Club activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami said the club was started with the objective of helping senior citizens to keep themselves physically fit and active by providing counselling on food, exercise and other relevant aspects.
KMCH also offers regular medical care for senior citizens at concessional cost.” He thanked the senior citizens who support the initiative of KMCH and regularly make use of the facilities at KMCH City Center. He also congratulated the team of doctors and staff on the occasion of the 34th anniversary.
