Dr. NGP Institute of Technology (NGP iTech) organised an Industry–Academic Interaction with the Autodesk Education Team recently to strengthen industry–academic collaboration and promote industry-oriented engineering education.
The interaction was attended by Akhilesh Sahi, India Head – Autodesk Education; Arun, Senior Manager – Autodesk Education; and Prasath, Head – Education, CADOne Solutions Private Limited.
The interaction was held in the presence of Prabha, Principal; Sreebalaji, Dean – Industry Relations and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering; Murali, Dean – Academics and Head, Department of Civil Engineering; Praveen Chakkravarthy, Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering; Pandiyan, Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; and Chandrasekharan, Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
The interaction provided valuable insights into Autodesk certification pathways, student skill enhancement, faculty development, and hackathon opportunities.
The discussions also identified potential avenues for promoting industry-oriented learning, technology-enabled education, and innovation-driven academic activities among engineering students.
The visit concluded with constructive discussions and a shared interest in developing future academic initiatives with Autodesk, thereby strengthening the institution’s efforts towards industry-integrated and technology-driven engineering education.
