Cadet Under Officer (CUO) Poonguzhali, a third-year DCFS student and NCC cadet of the 2 TN Artillery Battery NCC, Rathinam Global University, Coimbatore, has brought laurels to the institution through her outstanding performance at various national-level NCC events.
Her journey of achievement began with her participation in the Inter Group Competition (IGC) in 2025. She subsequently attended the TSC DTC TRG-I selection and training stage but could not progress further at that stage.
Despite the setback, she continued her preparation with determination and focused on improving her performance in the following year.
In 2026, her dedicated efforts yielded remarkable results. She was selected to participate in the All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC) 2026 in Delhi, where she secured an impressive sixth position at the All India level in the JDFS event.
She also demonstrated exceptional individual performance at the IGC, winning two gold medals in the Service Syllabus and JDFS events.
Her achievements at both the IGC and the All India Thal Sainik Camp reflect her consistent hard work, discipline, determination and commitment to NCC training.
Her achievement is particularly significant as she progressed from facing a setback during the 2025 TSC DTC TRG-I stage to earning national-level recognition in 2026. Her journey serves as an inspiration to fellow NCC cadets to remain persistent and continue striving towards their goals despite challenges, said a press release from Rathinam Global University.
