G Square categorically denies the allegations made regarding its Coimbatore project during the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on September 1, 2026.
The claim that 99 acres of Government Poramboke land exists within the project is factually incorrect and contrary to the revenue records.
The total extent of land parcels in the area is approximately 722 acres, out of which 406.81 acres comprise a DTCP- approved plotted layout. The development is being undertaken with the requisite permissions and approvals from competent statutory authorities, including DTCP, RERA, local bodies, Environmental Clearances and the Forest Department and other applicable authorities.
Out of the 406.81 acres, approximately 118 acres were gifted by Rakindo for public purposes, including parks, roads, Open Space Reservation (OSR), the Western Bypass Road and TNEB requirements.
Approximately 300 acres of land parcels falling outside the Plotted Layout are kept vacant as barren land.
Out of said 300 Acres, 4.0652 acres were gifted by Rakindo for the Western Bypass Road and 19.62 acres were gifted by G Square to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for the construction of a temple.
G Square further clarifies that the waterbodies (Vari, Kuttai) and Vandipaadhai/Cart Tracks situated between the project land parcels are non-contiguous and collectively measure approximately 50.05 acres, which are used by Public people/localites, in order to reach their adjacent agricultural lands situated in and around the neighboring Villages for their agricultural activities/their livelihood and also to reach the temple located in the nearby mountains.
These areas have NEVER been occupied or encroached by G Square, rather well maintained by G Square ‘as it is’ in its original state of condition, by forming roads and desilting the waterbodies/Kuttai at the Company’s cost and efforts.
G Square stands by its records and welcomes verification of the ownership, extent and classification of the land through the relevant Patta, FMB, A-Register, Encumbrance Certificates & revenue records, on official Government websites TamilNilam – GI Viewer, E Services and TN Reginet.
G Square remains committed to transparency, regulatory compliance and responsible development, said a press release from G Square.
