Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ajjanur, celebrated Independence Day on Saturday. Sangitha Varier, Director – Administration at Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, Coimbatore, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Maheswari, Principal of the school, delivered the welcome address.
The celebration was graced by the presence of Surya Narayanan, Associate Secretary, along with teachers, students and parents.
In her address, Sangitha Varier spoke about the important role students play in building a responsible and progressive society. The students who had shown dedication, discipline and active participation in various activities were sincerely appreciated and congratulated.
As part of the celebration, the students presented speeches in English, Tamil and Hindi, along with patriotic songs, a dance performance and a yoga presentation.
A Prize Distribution Ceremony was conducted to appreciate and encourage the achievers of the Quiz and Role Play competitions, followed by the felicitation of the Zonal winners of Silambam. 
The event highlighted the outstanding performance and achievements of the students who excelled in these competitions.
I-Day Celebration by KG and Primary Students
On Friday, the KG and Primary students celebrated Independence Day. The event provided an excellent opportunity for the young learners to understand the importance of our nation’s freedom and develop a sense of patriotism.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the patriotic flag song, “Thaayin Manikodi.” The students participated enthusiastically in various patriotic activities and cultural programmes.
The children presented patriotic songs, dances, speeches and colourful performances highlighting the values of freedom, unity and love for the nation.
A certificate distribution ceremony was conducted to appreciate and encourage the students who participated in the Fancy Dress Competition.
