The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the Bethesda International Meditation Centre, located at Karunya Nagar on Saturday.
Journalist Rajagopal hoisted the national flag and delivered the Independence Day special address. Vijay, Registrar, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (Deemed University), presided over the event.
A large number of tourists, members of the public, and school and college students participated in the celebrations.
The event was organised by Jebakumar Selvin, Administrator of Bethesda International Meditation Centre, along with the staff.
