The Knowledge and Study Center established by the Coimbatore Corporation on Aadis Street (next to Coimbatore Press Club) at Ward 83 of the Central Zone has been utilized well by the students who study for competitive exams, and also by the public.
This Center which was developed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore is spread across 6,983 sq.ft. It was inaugurated on Jan 5, 2024.
It houses 5000+ books, and has the capacity to stock more than 15,000 books. 15 computers with Digital Library access are also kept available in the center. It can accommodate 100 persons at once.
35,718 persons used the center from January to December 2024. The users increased significantly in 2025 with 66,683 users using it from January to December 2025. According to a new report from Coimbatore Corporation, the Center has been utilized by 28,000 individuals from January to June 2026, taking the total number of users to 1.03 lakh, so far.
