Tamil Nadu Ophthalmic Association (TNOA) is organizing its 73rd Annual Conference in Coimbatore from July 31st to August 2nd in CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, and the event has attracted nearly 2,000 ophthalmologists from Tamil Nadu and neighboring states.
The three-day conference serves as a major platform for scientific exchange, professional collaboration and discussions on the latest advances in ophthalmic care. Hosted by the Coimbatore Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons, it was inaugurated by Dr. S. Raja Sabapathy, Chairman, Division of Plastic Surgery, Ganga Hospital, in the presence of Padma Shri awardee Dr. G. Natchiar, Director Emeritus of Aravind Eye Care System.
The scientific programme features 15 distinguished international speakers who are sharing their expertise with delegates. Representatives from 15 ophthalmic subspecialty societies from India and the Asia-Pacific region are also participating in the scientific deliberations, providing perspectives across the full spectrum of eye care.

More than 100 industry partners are participating in an extensive trade exhibition showcasing the latest ophthalmic technologies, equipment, products and services. The exhibition is providing delegates with an opportunity to learn about innovations that are shaping the future of eye care.
Organisers said the conference, with its comprehensive scientific programme and participation of national and international experts, aims to promote the exchange of knowledge, strengthen professional partnerships and contribute to the continued advancement of ophthalmic practice and patient care.
