PSG College of Pharmacy is conducting a two-day National Conference on Automation, Information Technology, and Advancements in Pharmaceutical Sciences (ICAAPS 2026) on July 23 and 24, 2026.
The conference was inaugurated by Manikandan Arumugam, IAS, an alumnus of PSG College of Pharmacy (B.Pharm., 2005–2009), as the chief guest.
Dr. T. M. Subba Rao, Principal, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PSG IMSR), presided over the inaugural function. Dr. Ramanathan, Principal, PSG College of Pharmacy, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Habibur Rahman is the Organising Secretary of the conference.
The conference is co-sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology – Anusandhan National Research Foundation (DST-ANRF), New Delhi.
Building on the success of the ICAAPS editions held in 2022 and 2024, the conference continues its mission of fostering scientific dialogue at the interface of pharmaceutical sciences, digital technologies, and healthcare innovation.
ICAAPS 2026 aims to highlight the transformative role of automation, computational sciences, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data-driven technologies in modern pharmaceutical research and development.
The conference will focus on emerging interdisciplinary applications across the drug discovery and development continuum, including target identification, molecular modelling, predictive analytics, formulation design, process optimisation, regulatory science, precision medicine, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The scientific programme will feature around 13 distinguished experts from academia, the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare institutions, and regulatory organisations. Through keynote lectures and invited talks, the speakers will present recent advances, emerging trends, and translational research aligned with the conference themes.
ICAAPS 2026 is expected to attract more than 450 delegates from academic institutions, research organisations, the healthcare sector, and the pharmaceutical industry across the country. Participants will present their original research through oral and poster presentations, promoting scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.
