PSG College of Technology celebrated International Yoga Day recently. The National Cadet Corps (NCC), 4 TN Battalion NCC, participated in the event as both participants and volunteers.

The programme commenced with a welcome address delivered by Lt. Veeramani, Associate NCC Officer of the college. In his address, he highlighted the significance of yoga in enhancing physical strength, flexibility, mental clarity, emotional stability, stress management, discipline, self-awareness and inner peace, while fostering harmony within individuals and society.

The yoga session was conducted by the expert team from Kovai Prana Yoga Center, who guided participants through asanas, pranayama techniques and meditation practices. The trainers demonstrated various yoga postures, emphasizing breath control, concentration and mindfulness.

A felicitation ceremony was held to honour the founders and instructors of Kovai Prana Yoga Center. Colonel Abhijit A. Bhambare, Group Commander, YSM, along with Giriraj, Principal of the college, felicitated the founders Mohanraj and Jayalakshmi, followed by the instructors Jayam, Akila, Tamil Selvi, Bhavana, Shri Charan, Snithik and Ramya, in recognition of their dedication and expertise.

The celebration was graced by distinguished NCC officers including Colonel Manik Pathania, Group Administrative Officer; Lieutenant Colonel Praveen, Training Officer; Lieutenant Colonel Anil Kumar, Commanding Officer, 4 TN NCC Battalion; Major Gemswin Bosco Johnson, Administrative Officer, 4 TN NCC Battalion; and PI staff.

The programme witnessed the participation of NCC cadets, faculty members, staff and invited guests.
