Dr. NGP Institute of Technology and Dr. NGP Academy for Professional Development recently organised a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Innovate to Educate: Transformative Practices in Engineering Teaching.”
The programme aimed to enhance faculty knowledge, teaching competencies, and professional skills through a series of interactive and experiential learning activities.
Prabha, Principal of the institution, delivered the welcome address and encouraged faculty members to continuously upgrade their knowledge and adopt innovative teaching methodologies to improve student learning outcomes.
Muthuswamy, Director – Academics, Dr. NGP Educational Institutions, delivered the felicitation address and highlighted the significance of faculty development programmes in enhancing teaching quality and academic excellence.
A key feature of the FDP was the Outbound Training Programme conducted by the Vanaprastha Outbound Training Centre, Coimbatore. The sessions focused on priority management, time management, risk-taking, goal orientation, leadership, teamwork, communication, and decision-making through engaging and experiential activities.
Faculty members from various departments actively participated in the programme and appreciated the hands-on learning experience. The training sessions helped strengthen their confidence, collaboration, leadership abilities, and professional competencies.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Saranya, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, and Coordinator, Centre for Faculty Development (CFD).
