SUEZ conducted an educational support drive for children at the New MSR Labour Camp in Coimbatore. To support the students in their daily studies, company staff handed out fresh notebooks, slates and other basic classroom items.

During the event, SUEZ volunteers held one-to-one teaching sessions with the children on site. They encouraged the children, explaining the importance of regular school attendance.

The goal was to build the students’ academic confidence through practical, face-to-face encouragement.

This stationery distribution drive is part of the broader community outreach tied to the city’s 24×7 Water Supply Project. Local parents and other camp residents also showed up for the event.

They appreciated the grassroots initiative by SUEZ. These fresh study materials will now immediately help the students with their daily coursework.

SUEZ – 24×7 Water Supply Project, Coimbatore Project Director Sangram Pattanayak noted that the company’s local responsibility extends far beyond physical pipelines.

“Delivering 24×7 water is our primary mandate here in Coimbatore. Yet, our true responsibility lies in building up the communities we work in. Our field teams saw a brilliant spark in those children at the New MSR Labour camp. A simple notebook or slate might look small to us. But for a child trying to keep up in class, it makes a massive difference.”

The initiative aligns SUEZ with India’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and employee welfare. The event received positive responses from the participants.
