Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) will organise a one-day training program on “Beekeeping” at the Department of Agricultural Entomology on May 6, 2026 (Wednesday).
The training aims to provide hands-on experience in key aspects of beekeeping, including identification of bee species and their social organisation, rearing of Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management practices, bee forage and enhancing crop yield through cross-pollination, honey extraction, and management of bee enemies and diseases.
Interested candidates should arrive to the Department of Entomology, TNAU, Coimbatore, at 9.00 a.m. on the day of training. Participants are required to bring a valid ID proof and pay a training fee of Rs. 590.
The training session will be held from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
