Election Commission ordered the transfer of Tamil Nadu DGP for Law & Order on Thursday. G. Venkataraman who held the post as in-charge is now transferred by the order. Senior IPS officer Sandeep Rai Rathore has been named the new DGP.
The Election Commission has also appointed Ramya Bharathi IPS as the new Inspector General for West Zone- Tamil Nadu. Similarly, Arun Thamburaj has been named new collector of Salem and Vishnu Mahajan, the new collector of Thoothukudi. Police Commissioner of Madurai and Tambaram have been changed. Abhishek Deekshith IPS is the new COP of Madurai and Sanjay Kumar is the new COP of Tambaram.
