Prime Minister Modi, recently flagged of the Podanur-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express during his visit to
Trichy on March 11th. He was there to launch Rs.5,650 cr. projects and also to take part in the NDA public rally.

Podanur-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express is a weekly service connecting Coimbatore, TN and Dhanbad in Jharkhand.

According to reports, the Podanur – Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express service is set to commence on March 21st (Saturday). The train will leave Podanur on Saturdays at 6:15 a.m., and reach Dhanbad on Monday at 4 a.m. The returning train : Dhanbad – Podanur Amrit Bharat Express service will commence on March 23rd. On all Mondays, the train will leave Dhanbad at 2 p.m. and reach Podanur on Wednesday at 11.20 a.m.

The train will have stoppage in 35 stations that include Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode and Salem. Totally 22 coaches will be provided (8 Sleeper and 11 General Second Class coaches).
