Dr. NGP Institute of Technology, in association with the Rotary Club of Coimbatore North, organised “The North Star Summit 2.0”, a Conference on Student Leadership and Growth, today.

The event marked the celebration of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and brought together distinguished leaders, academicians and professionals to inspire and empower students.

The program was presided over by Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman and Managing Director of KMCH; Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary, Dr. N.G.P. Educational Institutions; and Trustees Dr. Arun N. Palaniswami and Mathura V. Palaniswami of Dr. NGp Research and Educational Trust (NGPRET).

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Rtn. MD CA Chella K. Raghavendran, District Governor – RI District 3206, who spoke about the importance and contributions of Rotary to the nation, the significance of RYLA, and the role of youth volunteering in nation-building.

The program was held in the esteemed presence of Buvaneswaran, CEO of the trust; Natesan, COO; and Prabha, Principal of the college, who delivered a special address on the importance and impact of RYLA in shaping young leaders.

Rotary dignitaries, including Rtn. MPHF. Santhosh, President of the club; Rtn. PHF. Sampath Kumar, Secretary; Rtn. MPHF. Vivekanandhan, Chairman; Rtn. MD. Godwin Maria Visuvasam, District Chairman Membership; Rtn. PHF. Senthil Kumar, Chairman, Youth Service; Rtn. MD. Varadharajan, District Director; and Rtn. PHF. Sadhasivam, Assistant Governor RI 3206 were also present.

The summit featured a series of insightful technical sessions by eminent speakers. Ramakrishnan Vijayan, Leadership Coach and Corporate Trainer, addressed students on “Youth Shaping the Future.”

Thernika, Psychologist and Mental Health Trainer, emphasised the importance of “Mental Health Focus.” Rtn. MPHF. Madhana Gopal Sethuraman, Digital Creator and Physiotherapist, spoke on “Growth Mindset,” while JCI Senator R.S. Prabhu, Past National Vice President and National Trainer of Junior Chamber International India, delivered a thought-provoking session titled “Social Media – Tool or Trap.”

Rtn. MPHF. Jaiganesh Subramanian, Governor Group Representative – RI Dist 3206, shared insights on “Society and Responsibility.”

The North Star Summit 2.0 successfully created a platform for students to enhance leadership qualities, develop a growth mindset and understand their role in shaping society.

The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, making it a meaningful initiative toward youth empowerment and holistic development.
