Adhiyan, son of Rtn Sashi Kumar of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore West and a student of PSG Institute of Advanced Studies, has been selected to represent India in the Silambam competition at the International Championship 2026, organised by the School Games and Activity Development Foundation (SGADF). The championship will be held from February 8 to 12, 2026, in Pokhara, Nepal.
He earned this opportunity by securing second place in Silambam while representing Tamil Nadu at the National Championship, held recently at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa, and organised by SGADF.
