The Department of Computer Applications (MCA) at Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology observed National Startup Day on 24 January 2026.
The programme began with a welcome address by Jayasudha, Head of the Department, followed by the presidential address by Jaya, Principal of the college.
The Chief Guest, Prasannakumar, Founder and CEO of Nedunal Yaanai Upscale Solutions, delivered an inspiring address in which he emphasised the importance of startups in driving economic growth and encouraged students to transform their ideas into viable ventures. He also highlighted the role of young innovators in shaping the future of the nation.
The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and aspiring entrepreneurs. National Startup Day provided a platform for students to showcase innovative ideas, learn from industry experts, and gain valuable insights into the startup ecosystem.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vignesh Kumar, a student of the department.
