Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) organised Pongal celebrations on 22 January 2026, reflecting the institution’s focus on preserving and promoting Indian cultural traditions.
The campus was decorated in a traditional manner, creating an atmosphere that brought together students and faculty.

In their messages, the speakers encouraged students to stay connected to cultural values while pursuing academic and professional goals.
As part of the programme, Pongal was cooked in the traditional way and offered to nature with prayers, symbolising gratitude for prosperity.
Traditional games such as Uri Adithal and Tug of War were organised, with active participation from students.
These activities highlighted teamwork, physical activity, and cultural interaction.
