The Department of Information Technology at PSG College of Technology organised the 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Systems for Communication, IoT and Security (ICISCOIS 2026) recently at the college campus.
The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Vijay Kumar, Vice President, IBM, Bengaluru, who addressed the gathering through online mode. Saravanan Velrajan, Head of Digital Consulting, Ginkos India, participated as the Guest of Honour.
In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest highlighted industry perspectives on emerging technologies and the need for strong academia–industry collaboration, while the Guest of Honour shared valuable insights on the role of artificial intelligence in shaping next-generation networks.
Prakasan, Principal of the college, presided over the event and emphasised the importance of networking, information technology, and communication systems in addressing emerging global challenges. The inauguration ceremony concluded with the release of the conference souvenir by the dignitaries.
The conference was technically sponsored by IEEE and organised as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the college. Earlier, Umamaheswari, Head of the Department, delivered the welcome address. The conference features eminent speakers from IIT Delhi, reputed universities in the USA, and distinguished industry experts.
