To promote art in Coimbatore, the Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust is organising the Mrs. Barbara Sreenivasan Memorial Painting Workshop from December 25 to 28, 2025.
Two renowned artists from Kumbakonam are demonstrating and guiding students in oil and watercolour painting, as well as in making clay models and paper crafts.
The workshop is being conducted daily from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Students from colleges and schools studying from 8th standard to 12th standard, along with members of the public aged 18 years and above who are interested in art, are participating in the workshop.
In the past 28 workshops, about 6,000 persons are being trained and are benefiting from the programme.
