Aadhi Shivan Varahi Temple, a Shiva–Vishnu temple located on Pollachi Main Road, KPM Nagar, Eachanari, near Rathinam College, commenced the auspicious Karthigai month with a special abhishegam performed using 1008 sankus (conch shells) on 17th November 2025.
The rituals included homam, Rudra Pooja, and special decorations for Lord Shiva.
Devotees performed the abhishegam with the 1008 sankus and offered prayers to Lord Shiva. This worship has been taking place for the past six years.
Temple authorities said that participating in this pooja is considered equivalent to taking part in a Mahakumbabishegam.
The special rituals will continue on all Mondays throughout the Karthigai month.
