With air pollution levels rising in New Delhi, schools across Delhi-NCR are taking steps to protect students’ health.

Sudha Acharya, Principal of ITL Public School, said, “We asked parents to make sure children with asthma or other breathing problems wear masks. Early morning assemblies, yoga, and outdoor activities have been suspended. Students can go out for PT only after 10 or 10:30 am. We also advised children to stay hydrated, use CNG vehicles, carpool, or take public transport, and keep indoor plants at home.”

Shalini Nambiar, Director Principal of Seth Anandram School, said, “All outdoor sports periods have been moved indoors. Different rooms have been set up for various activities to keep students safe from pollution. The main goal is to hold all activities inside.”

Schools are continuing to take precautions to keep students safe while ensuring learning and activities continue despite the pollution.
