The Department of Commerce (Banking and Insurance) and the Department of Information Technology at Hindusthan College of Arts & Science recently organised a seminar titled “GST 2.0: Growth, Simplification and Transformation.”

The seminar focused on GST 2.0, highlighting its growth, simplification, transformation, and the major tax reform changes that are set to shape a new tax landscape.

The event was attended by faculty members, students, and industry participants who engaged in learning about the most recent updates on the Goods and Services Tax.

Rajesh, Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering and addressed the participants, stressing the importance of understanding these reforms that will help shape future professionals and entrepreneurs.

The primary objective of the seminar was to create awareness and educate participants about the evolving taxation environment under GST.

The seminar featured Sundar Raman, a GST expert and corporate trainer, as the chief guest.

Raman’s insightful presentation covered various aspects of GST 2.0, including its features and benefits, key impacts, the timeline of changes, and the expected effects of the reforms on business operations and taxation.

He elaborated on how the GST reforms have led to increased efficiency, reduced complexity, and sustainable growth aligned with the nation’s economic goals.
