The Department of Computer Science with Cognitive Systems and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science conducted a national-level symposium titled HIBOT 2K25 on 23rd September 2025.

The event was graced by the presence of Ponnusamy, principal of the college. Sasikala, head of the department, delivered the welcome address.

The resource persons for the symposium were Ridhubaenan, tech lead at Accuristech, Bengaluru, and John Benniel, quality assurance engineer at Appviewx, Bengaluru.

Ridhubaenan’s session provided students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience, particularly in areas like the Robotic Simulation Lab.

John Benniel offered valuable insights into AI and machine learning training, including topics such as generating synthetic datasets, training machine learning models for robotic tasks, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.

His talk also highlighted the deployment of these models to physical robots and the resulting improvements in decision-making, efficiency, and personalised user experiences.

Following the sessions, external participants took part in various events such as paper presentation, debugging, facial painting, group dance, fashion show, and quiz competitions.
