Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) recently organised a Product Launch Competition as part of its Orientation Program series for the 2025-27 MBA batch.
The event, held on July 29, 2025, in which students were divided into groups and given a task for developing innovative products and presenting them to a panel of judges.
Eight innovative products were showcased during the competition, including: Tootshy: The Future of Oral Care; Gemvista, Waywego: Portable petrol pump service app; Decisio – a decision-making tool; Sand Battery: Charging the Future Naturally, Cloth Shield and Sensor: a cutting-edge textile technology; Vonote: a note-taking system; and Next Gen Squad: a next-gen ear buds.
The students’ presentations covered various aspects of product implementation, including: Marketing Strategies: Understanding target audiences and creating effective marketing plans, HR Management: Building a team and managing human resources, and Fund Allocation: Managing finances and allocating resources efficiently.
The event was judged by esteemed faculty members, Umamaheshwari, Professor, and Durai, Associate Professor.
Valarmathi, Director, VIMS, announced the winner of the competition as Next Gen Squad and honoured the team with medals.
This event aimed to foster creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and ideas.
