National Model Senior Secondary School, as part of its 20th-year celebration and deep-rooted commitment to society, conducted the Family Marathon – A Run for a Greener Tomorrow under the theme “One Life, One Earth – Go Green with National Model,” on 27th July 2025.
The run aimed to promote fitness and environmental awareness.
The event was graced by Krishnamoorthy, TPS, Additional Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore, who administered the green oath and flagged off the marathon, in the presence of Mohan Chandar, Chairman and Uma Mohan, Secretary.
The marathon saw the participation of around 500 individuals, including parents. Geetha Laxman, Principal, and Lavanya, Vice Principal, along with student council members and Interactors of the school, organised the event.
Saplings and seed balls were distributed to all participants, encouraging them to contribute to a greener planet beyond the event.
The top five student runners in each category were honoured for their outstanding performance and commitment.
