The 16th Convocation Ceremony of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore, was held on 26.07.2025 at Sekkizhar Auditorium, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education.
The university conferred degrees to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy and postgraduate students in the fields of Arts and Science.
Vasanthakumar, President, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education; Shrimathi Damayanthi, Trustee honoured the occasion with their presence. The convocation was presided over by Ramasamy, Chancellor and graced by Murugaiah, Chief Executive Officer.
Prabhu, Vice-Chancellor of Sikkim Manipal University, was the special guest and delivered a keynote address at the convocation ceremony, where he presented degrees to the students.
In his speech, he said, ‘The responsibility of students does not end with obtaining degrees. It is their fundamental duty to serve their home and country.
Today’s students are getting countless opportunities ranging from research to study at the global level. Their unwavering enthusiasm, continuous search, unwavering efforts and excellent personality help them to convert opportunities into achievements.
Unwavering self-confidence is the path and many achievements are achieved. Students should benefit society with their knowledge. That is the benefit of education. They should cultivate themselves with the aim of public welfare, so that their knowledge and creativity reach people from all walks of life.
The development of artificial intelligence today is proof that innovative ideas can create revolution. Such discoveries are essential for the development of human society. It is deeply believed that the intelligence of thousands of young people who have produced such various innovations is present in every student who has graduated today.
He emphasised that the creative activities of students should be uplifting in a way that shows that education, and the intellectual culture that comes with it, are tools for social progress.
Earlier, Ravi, Vice Chancellor, delivered the Welcome Address and presented the annual report for the year 2024-2025.
Pradeep, Registrar; Palanivelu, Controller of Examinations, Deans, Heads, Faculty members, celebrities and parents participated in the convocation.
At this ceremony, 1454 students graduated, 35 students were awarded gold medals and 34 researchers from various fields were awarded with the doctorate degrees.
