Marking World Health Day, KV Institute of Management and Information Studies recently organized a special Health Awareness Day Program under the theme “Hope Futures and Health for All”, aligning with the World Health Organization’s global campaign.
The program aimed to sensitize future business leaders to the importance of physical and mental well-being, not just as individuals, but also as responsible professionals and future employers.
The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Priyadharshini N. Anbuselvaraj, physician and health consultant at Kumaran Medical Center, who spoke about the growing need for health consciousness among young adults, especially those in high-pressure academic and corporate environments.

She emphasized that good health is a basic right, yet it is often neglected due to busy schedules, tight deadlines, and long working hours.
“Mental stress, poor sleep, and irregular eating habits are common among students and working professionals. It’s time we normalize work-life balance,” she stated.
Dr. Priyadharshini also discussed the importance of stress management, regular exercise, staying hydrated, and unplugging from screens.
“Health isn’t just about avoiding disease; it’s about optimizing your potential,” she added.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, followed by a short film screening and the sharing of WHO health awareness content on social media.
