The School of Computational Sciences, PSG College of Arts & Science, successfully hosted the National Level Technical Symposium, GATEWAY ‘25, on March 12, 2025, at the college campus.
Rajendran Dandapani, Business Solutions Evangelist at Zoho Corporation & President of Zoho School of Learning, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The presidential address was delivered by Senguttuvan, Principal in-charge of the college underlining the pivotal role of artificial intelligence and robotics in the field of computer science in the contemporary world.
The chief guest in his address urged students to stay competitive, keep progressing, and think differently for long-term success. He emphasized competence, creative problem-solving, and resourceful innovation, highlighting hacking as a field that thrives on out-of-the-box thinking.
The symposium witnessed eight technical events, a hackathon and a tech exhibition. The competitions such as tech quizzes, debugging challenges, web and mobile app development contests, AI-based creative events, ethical hacking, and a debate on technology were conducted.
The problem domain was given to the 17 hackathon teams and they implemented solutions to the selected problem statements.
The event saw participation from around 250 students from 38 colleges across Tamil Nadu, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for technology-driven problem-solving. The symposium served as a vital platform for students to interact with peers, gain hands-on experience, and challenge themselves in a competitive environment.
The symposium proved to be an enriching experience for students, equipping them with practical knowledge, industry insights, and exposure to real-world challenges. By participating in GATEWAY ‘25, students enhanced their technical expertise, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for a dynamic future in technology.
The symposium also provided students with an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge competitions, network with industry leaders, and gain insights into the latest technological advancements.
To be noted, since its inception in 2002, GATEWAY has served as a premier platform for students across the nation to showcase their technical acumen, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
